ANGEL 12 - LELIEL
The twelth angel to face humanity, and the eighth angel to attack Tokyo 3, also known as
the patron angel of the night. The angel Leliel (also Leriel and Leiel) means
"The Jaws Of God" and in the scripture, represents once again an angel, whos status
as a true angel is questionable. Is said to be a fallen angel. This angel is one of the
rulers of the night, God chose him to rule over darkness the same way other angels ruled
over light, however some believe that he is a demonic prince of conception, rather than a
true angel. Leliel first appears in episode 16 Sickness unto death and...

The beginning of this angel are again, a mystery. The way in which this angel came
to be in Tokyo 3 are unclear. It may be attributed to being much like angel 5 Ramiel,
appearing in the sky and moving into position over Tokyo 3. The nature of this angel,
is once again unique. The angel consists of two seperate parts, the obvious sphere in the
sky, and the black swampy/misty compound on the ground. The object in the sky, is essentially
a powerful, inverted AT-field, literally a nano meter think. This is a barrier to its inner part,
which is essentially a different universe with dirrerent laws of physics (the reflection on the sphere,
is actually a contorted and mangled view on the angel on the inside). The black compound on
the ground acts as a portal into this sphere into which something can fall, literally indefinatly.
It may apppear that the object in the sky may be the target, however it can dematerialize and
rematerialize in another place. Furthur more it can change the ground compound as it wishes, using it
to trap its victims, who fall into the eternal, inescapeable darkness (fitting for the angel of the
darkness). Initailly, all three units, mistakently, attacked the object in the sky, however when Shinji
opened fire on the angel, it moved, it then began to change the ground compund, swallowing unit 01 and
the screaming Shinji (units 00 and 02 managed to escape). It was unknown how Shinji could now be rescued
and Ritsuko devised a plan to destroy the angel with N2 mines, which would also destroy almost all unit 01
and kill Shinji. Shinji who had been on life support mode for over 10 hours, was reaching his last few mins,
and with less than a mintute to go before the operation commenced, evangelion unit 01 went bezerk. The sphere
began to rupture bleed, being ripped it apart from the inside out. The the terrifying face of unit 01 appeared
from the side, defeating the angel.
