ANGEL 15 - ARAEL
The fifteenth angel to face humanity, and the eleventh angel to attack Tokyo 3, also known
as the patron angel of birds. The name Arael (also Ariel) lietrally means "Lion Of God".
There are several uses of the name in the Old Testament, namely in Isaiah, where it denotes
the city of Jerusalem; and in Ezra, where it is the name of a man. In the scripture, is given
dominion over the winds and has been called "Earth's Great Lord". Apparently he was routed
during the war in heaven by the seraph Abdiel, an angellic follower of Satan. He is another of the
Angels whos status as a angel or a deamon is questionable, he is also the angel who will make sure
we pay for our sins, which would more suggest deamon, than angel. Arael first appears in episode
22 At least, be humane.

Not surprisingly, this angels beginnings was in the sky, in orbit above earth (approprite for the angel
of birds). Although similar in its place to angel 10 Sahaquiel, it was yet again, a completly new angel
Just wheres its beginnings are is not sure, but something could quite probably develop in orbit and go
unnoticed for quite a fair while. This angel seemed to have no pbvious physical attack capabilty, and
not a strong enough AT-field to withstand a direct hit from weapon fire. With this fact in mind,
evnagelion units 00 and 02 were sent out to attack it (unit 01 was in chryo status), using their
issued weapons. Once it was attacked it retalliated, not wiht a physical attack, but a projected mental
attack, apearing as a white heaveny light over its target victim.
The angel attacked evangelion unit 02 first up, Asuka taking the brunt of its mental rape, screaming the
whole time. The more she fought it out of her head, the more it brought up her dark past into her mind,
destroying her mind from the inside out. Asuka suffered significant mental damage, falling unconscious,
and into a coma, completly disabling her and her evangleion. Rei upon missing the target a number of times,
was instructed by Gendou Ikari, despite his knowlledge that SEELE would disapprove, to go to central dogma
and retrieve the Lance Of Longinous. Wasting no time, she did so as fast as she could do so. Upon returning
to the surface, she ligned it up and trew it headlong to the angel, the Lance adapting itself to penetrate
the AT-field, killing the angel as it went right through it, however loosing the lance in the process.
