ANGEL 17 - TABRIS
The seventeen angel to face humanity, and the thirteenth to attack Tokyo 3, also known as
the patron angel of freedom. The name Tabris means "the will of freedom", and in the scripture,
he represents exactly that, the will of freedom, of choice, self-determination and alternatives.
His figure is one that lives in obscurity when it comes to its relative importance in the scripture.
The figure if Tabris, is more or less, unimportant in the scripture. This may seem surprising, considering
that his role, would seem one of a much greater importance. Tabris first appears in episode 24 The beast
that shouted 'I' at the heart of the world.

A real change this far into the series, this angels begninngs is very well known, probably better than
all the other angels. Who he was (although not known until much later) was a human boy. His appearance
physically as a human is very decieving and the fact he was an angel was amazingly unnoticeable. Although
he is a very strange individual, he manages to be normal enough to be make people find the idea of him as
an angel, quite a difficult idea to accept. He apparently stared out like any other child. Born exactly nine
months after seccond impact (probably the reason he was chosen to become the angel). He had parents, and
experienced a life growing up and a human child. Perhaps only vaguly aware of who he really was, just how
or where he lived, is unknown. HE was discoveverd by SEELE sometime in the past, SEELE discoving his true
nature, mostly likey not mentioning it t his, although Kaoru porbably already knew this before hand. After
all of the sixteen angels had been defeated, he was the last one. Sent by SEELE to NERV on teh faulse pretences
as the replacement pilot for evangelion unit 02 (Asuka by now, well into a mental coma).
Unlike all angels before him, his arrival at NERV was relativly uneventful, hes was designated quaters, and
introduced to the staff very well, coming very close to Rei and to Shinji, his new fellow pilots. Shinji
quickly becoming his friend and both became special to one another (but not as it might appear). His
abilities astounded NERV, his sync ratio incredible, his sync-ratio immediatly surpassed Shinji and Rei.
Upon furthur testing, its was discovered that he could set this ratio at will, alearting some to who he may
be. Rei also has her suspicions, when he mentioned "you and i are alike" which had more to do with their
similar appearance. Then suddenly, he knew it was time, commendeering evangleion unit 02, externally, begin
able to hover nearby. Using this, he began to make his way to terminal dogma. The startled, and once again
betrayed Shinji battled him all the way down, during this, showing that he had an very AT-field, crahing
onto the floor of terminal dogma. He once again met Rei, who showed her previously unknown ability of
At-field, blocking out terminal dogma. HE had finaly had reached his goal, but upon seeing that Lilith was
actually kept here, not adam he gave Shinji the choice to kill him. Apropriate for the angel of freedom, he
gave Shinji the freedom of life. Shinji, againt hs better judgement, fulfilled the wish of Kaoru, and ended
his life.
