ANGEL 4 - SHAMSHEL
The fourth angel to face humanity, and the seccond angel to attack Tokyo 3, also known as
the patron angel of the day. The name Shamshel means 'the mighty sun of god', and in the scripture,
is the angel that is empowered to guard to the garden of eden. He is the "watcher" that taught
men the signs of the sun. Being the seccond angel to appear, 3 weeks after angel 2 Sachiel,
he is responsible for reminding humanity that thier test has really begun, the long 15 year wait
is over and now begins the test of humanity. Shamshel first appears in episode 3 A transfer.

Once again, this angel came from the ocean, swimming through the old (now submerged) capital
of Japan, Tokyo. The nature of this angel was much like its predecessor, appearing to attacks
in the early hours of the day, which makes sense, being the angel of the day. However
unlike the angel that came before it, it couldn't walk the rest of the way, as did the previous
angel. Its insectoid (slug or bug like appearance) design, was able to hover over the ground,
and in doing so moved alot faster towards Tokyo 3 than Sachiel. It was not met with such force
as Sachiel, appearing much more suddenly, and began attacking buildings and general structures, with its
energised long talon/tentacle/whip like arms. These were so powerful that they were capalbe of
cutting anything to ribbons, even the evangelion with their AT-field. Being three weeks after
the previous angel, Shinji had been training, Rei still far too injured to pilot her Evangelion,
Shinji was again sent out on his own, to confront the angel and destroy it.
Like the previous angel, it attacked with no remorse, raising itself to a far more aggresive
position, slashing anything its way, also severing the evangelion's powercord, thereby limiting
Shinji to 5 mins to destroy the angel. His effort was furthur hampered, by two of his
class mates, that had strayed on to the battle field. Disobeying a direct order, Shinji rescued
the two of them, taking them into his entry plug, also at the risk of the angels destroying the evangelion.
Thankfully, the angels seemed a little preoccupied, not managing to do so. Once reactivated, the angel,
resumed its attack. With one minute remaining, Shinji attacked the angel, however its moderate AT-field
wasn't enough to stop its core being stabbed with the prog knife. The angel was defated literally secconds
before the 5 minute limit was rached. Futhur more the angel never self-destructed, and was recovered for
study and its is suspected the S2 organ sample was recovered from Shamshel.
