KENSUKE AIDA
The class nerd, kensuke is the typical "weird" and slightly childish kinda guy.
He is the sort of person that is naturally curious, has a great imagination and keen
interest in many things, especially the military, the evangelion and NERV generally.
Sometimes being a little too curious, he gets himself and others into embarrasing, and
even dangerous situations. Kensuke is the type of guy that video tapes alot of things, he
even sells photographs of pretty foreign exchange students (Asuka especially), and listens out
for any information regarding NERV, the evangelion or anything else interesting. Far to
interested in his hobbies to need many friends, Kensuke can mostly be found hanging around
Touji or Shinji, often both, in his bunch, deemed the "three stoges" as Asuka and Hikari
put it.

Being 14 years old, Kensuke has seemed to live in Neo Tokyo 3 for a fair while, having already
settled in at school, already good friends with Touji and fimiliar with the landscape around
Neo Tokyo 3 (he tends to camp alot, part of his military thing). Being born on September
12th, Kensuke plays no important role to the evangelion, least to say the closest he has
been is being in the entry plug once, when Shinji rescued him and Touji from Angel 4 Shamshel
when he insisted with Touji that they watch the battle outside (against the rules no less).
Kensuke, like an amateur version of Kaji, seems to need ot learn whats going on at NERV, and
would give anything to find out. More than this he also wants to be a pilot, which he would
also do anything to be one (including beg Misato at the off chance that it might possibly work).
The series doesnt go into any detial of Kensuke, nothng of his family, nor much else.
With Tetsuya Iwanaga as his seiyuu, he first appears in episode 3 A transfer.
He doesnt change much either, being the same "weird" kinda guy all the way through.
In fact his reason for his family leaving Neo Tokyo 3 were never mentioned either
(athough it was probably his home getting destroyed). In the end, without much being said,
his family is gone, and his importance dissapears, like so many others that feld Neo Tokyo 3.
