EVANGELION 04 - SUPER SOLENOID (S2) ENGINE MODEL
Evangelion Unit 04, or "Yongoki"
as it is known in the Japanese, it is
the super soleniod model of the evangelion. It
was constructed in Nevada, USA, its
had no designated pilot and no core
soul. It was mentioned in episode 17 The fourth child.
The third production model evangelion, and the first evangelion designed to carry the supersolenoid engine.
The unit was never completed or shown in the series, hence very little was ever known about it. It appeared
to be much more powerful than the others, being yet again, different to the others in its outward
appearance. Even though the unit was uncompleted, the unit was never reported to have any incidents, probably
behaving much as unit 03 did, completely silent. Whether or not it even had a chance to show itself, is
questionable, not having a core soul, a pilot or an activation. This is all of course, before the incident
involving the super soleniod, which would have made it able to have an infinate activation time limit, no
longer limited to the 5 minutes of activation time in all of its predecessors.

This unit was the seccond of two units built in the United States, both to be completed after units
00, 01 and 02, in sequential order. Unit 03, unlike all others before it, was still in construction in the
series. This unit, being the first to carry the super solenoid engine, seems to have been a prototype for
the evangelion series model (which began construction soon after unit 04's destruction). The incident that
caused its destruction, was actually unknown. The first sings of something wrong, was when NERV in Tokyo 3
recieved telemetry of the entire Nevada branch being vaporised. According to the Magi, the instillation
of the super solenoid engine has been scheduled when this occoured, becoming the accepted event. Just what
happened to cause this, will never be known, with the unit, the super solenoid specimen and the entire
Nevada branch being destroyed, however, it would make sense that a failiure during its instillation and
activation, caused the super solenoid engine to go into overload, releacing incredible, ammounts of energy,
and as a result, vaporising the engine, the eva and everything else within the blast radius.
